2014-03-14 Manager News Recyclable ItemsThe following items will be collected at both the Bay City Electric and Fisher Street Parking Lot locations, unless otherwise noted.  Drug Take Back - Pills onlyElectronic Waste - Computer systems & accessories; Audio & video equipmentStyrofoam - Packing peanuts, Cups and plates, Product packagingTires – Available to City residents only - Passenger car and truck tires that are off rims, limited to 10 per address.  Also recycling the following:  Cell Phones  Concrete/Bricks  Household Goods & FurnitureSmoke Detectors Eye Glasses & Hearing Aids YarnMetal scrap  Clothing    BooksBuilding Materials Tool & Supplies Items Not Accepted are as follows:  Barrels/Drums, Batteries, Car parts, Combustible Materials, Commercial/Contractor Waste, Dirt, Fluorescent Tube Lights, Food Waste, Gas Cylinders, Inhalers, Liquid/Hazardous Waste, Needles, Paint Cans, Semi and Tractor Tires, Steel Pipes, Syringes, Toxic Materials, Tree Stumps, Yard Waste At the Bay City Electric site the following additional services will be offered:  Shred ServicesCFL Recycling Dehumidifiers and Room ACs - Limited to 2 per BCELP customer• $15 rebate per unit   • Must be operable  • Must be BCELP customer, Also at the Bay City Electric site Bay City Electric Light & Power’s Residential customers are eligible to receive FREE lighting kits!To claim your lighting kit, bring your yellow utility bill to 900 S. Water Street.  In order to receive a lighting kit, you must be a BCELP residential customer.
