Amy L. DeHaan-Legge

            Bay City hired Amy as their Assessor in August of 2000.  She holds a Level IV Assessor’s Certification (the highest in the State).  She also has her bachelor’s degree in Management and Organizational Development from Spring Arbor University.  Amy is responsible for all aspects of the Assessing Office, including commercial and industrial new construction and re-appraisal, training, State required reporting and supervision of office staff.  Amy is available for questions by calling (989) 894-8123 or emailing her at ADeHaan-Legge@baycitymi.org.

Maureen Zirwes

          Maureen started work in the Assessor’s Office in June 2007.  Previously, she spent her time as a clerk/typist for the Bay City Police Department for almost eight (8) years.  She is responsible for all handling all deeds (transfers of ownership), maintaining mailing addresses, Property Transfer Affidavits, and Homestead Exemptions.  Should you need to talk with her, she can be contacted at (989) 894-8120 or email her at MZirwes@baycitymi.org.
