Bay City
Residents & Business Owners Reminded to Remove
Snow from Sidewalks After Snowfall
BAY CITY, MICHIGAN, JANUARY 6, 2010
The City of Bay
City would like to remind all residents and business owners of
their responsibility under the city’s Code of Ordinances to
remove snow and ice from sidewalks adjoining their property
following snowfall. Keeping sidewalks free of snow and ice
assures the safety and convenience of persons using city
sidewalks and maintains the overall walkability of the
community. Persons having questions about the city’s snow
removal regulations or complaints about accumulations of snow
and ice on city sidewalks may contact Scott McKillop of the
city’s Planning Department at (989)894-8176, or by email at
smckillop@baycitymi.org.
The Bay
City Police Department is asking residents to help us reduce the
crimes of Home Invasion and Larcenies by locking your doors. If
an officer becomes aware of an unsecured door he or she will
attempt to contact the property owner. If that owner cannot be
located, the officer will lock the property and affix a notice
indicating the property was locked as a courtesy.

door hanger.
