The Support Operations Division
is overseen by Lieutenant Mark Turner and consists of:

The
Detective Bureau investigates cases generated by: the Patrol Operations Division, self generated
complaints as well as investigations received from other Law Enforcement
agencies including Federal, State and local. These types of investigations
include crimes such as: Bank Robberies, kidnappings, counterfeit money, computer
crimes, child pornography and also technical assistance in video processes.
Continuous training to update the skills
necessary to investigate these wide ranging and complex types of crimes. One of the new
challenges in the last few years have been computer based crimes including:
monetary frauds, child pornography and counterfeiting.
The
current staff in the Detective Bureau consists of: one clerical staff, a Detective
Sergeant.,
two identification corporals and five detectives.

citizens are willing to provide information. Anyone who might have
information about past or present criminal cases is encouraged to call Crime

Cold
Cases:
Murder: Jan Rohrer, 13 years old,
reported missing
11-26-1973 found murdered 11-7-1974. She was last seen leaving for school
in the morning.
Missing
person: Steven Clark, 26 years old, reported missing 7-22-1997.
He was last seen walking home from a party store in Bay City.
Abduction and rape: A 15 year old
female on 1-16-1996 was the victim of an abduction, torture and rape. This
occurred in the area of Wenona and John St. in Bay City and ending in the
area of Wenona and N. Union St. in Bay City. The suspect was a w/m, in his 20's with short light brown or blond hair with
some facial hair. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt under a Carhart jacket.
