On December 20, 2021, City Commission authorized $300,000 to create a small business relief grant program to be administered by Economic Development Staff, with assistance from the Fiscal Services Director, Bay Future, Inc., and the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. The program is targeted to help businesses with less than 20 employees with COVID-19 related expenses and allows for grants up to $5,000 for businesses with 1-10 employees, and up to $10,000 for businesses with 11-20 employees.
Beginning Monday, January 10th, applications will be available in pdf format on the City’s website and in Room 207 at City Hall. Businesses can either fill out applications and drop them off at City Hall or they can apply online directly on the City’s website. The application window opens Monday, January 10th at 8am and closes Friday, January 21st at 5pm. Questions can be directed to Sara Dimitroff or Shelli Thurston in Economic Development.
