The Sewer Department is responsible for maintaining approximately 350 miles of sanitary, storm, combined and 6600 catch basins. Call 989-894-8316 option 2, option 3 for sewer related information.
Our department performs the following:
Repair and installation of storm, sanitary, catch basins, manholes and combined sewers.
Flushing storm and sanitary sewers
Opening plugged catch basins that cause street flooding
Digging and repairing sewers at cave-in sites
Video inspection of the sewer and storm mains
Locating taps for contractors and home owners
Dye testing to confirm problems or tap locations
Responding to home owner complaints 24/7
Marking underground sewers for Miss Dig
Homeowners are encouraged to call 989-894-8316 option 2, option 3 before calling a plumber for sewer problems. This service is provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
