Coordinating Council/TIFA

It is necessary to form a Coordinating Council on Community Redevelopment in any municipality where there exists more than one Citizens District Council (CDC) in accordance with ACT 344 of the Public Acts of 1945.  The Coordinating Council members also serve as the Tax Increment Finance Authority Board in accordance with Public Act 57 of 2018.  The purpose of the Coordinating Council is to serve as the formal means through which active citizens participate in providing a better development program and understanding of existing and future community activities within the City of Bay City.

The Coordinating Council is comprised of four members from each of the five Citizen District Councils representing residential neighborhoods and small retail districts within Bay City.  They represent the citizens of Bay City with dedication, concern, courtesy, respect and responsiveness.  They continually strive for personal excellence; and encourage and support the Council members in their participation and development as members of Coordinating Council and the TIFA Board.
