JANUARY 6, 2022 BAY CITY, MICH: On January 6, 2022 at approximately 0915hrs, Bay City Central High School staff broke up a fight within a bathroom on the second floor of the high school. During the fight, a 19-year-old Bay City Central student stabbed another 16-year-old Bay City Central student twice in the head with a small folding knife. The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident. The suspect also sustained minor facial injuries and a minor cut to his hand. Both subjects received medical treatment for their injuries at a local hospital. The suspect was arrested without incident by the Bay City Department of Public Safety’s School Resource Officer and will be lodged in the Bay County Jail. The suspect and victim are related to each other, and the incident appears to be a continuation of incidents between the two. Both students’ names are being withheld as the investigation is continuing.
