Medical Marihuana

On December 18, 2017, the Bay City Commission adopted Chapter 30, Medical Marihuana Facilities to the City Code of Ordinances to implement the provisions of the Michigan Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act(MMFLA), Public Act 281 of 2016.   The purpose of the new ordinance is to implement the provisions of the MMFLA so as to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of the residents and patients of the City by setting forth the manner in which medical marihuana facilities can be operated in the City. This Ordinance authorizes the establishment of medical marihuana facilities within the City of Bay City provided all application requirements are met.
