Yard Waste and Brush Collection Reminders
Weekly pickup of yard waste and brush continues through November.
Yard waste includes leaves, grass and shrub clippings, small brush, branches, and twigs, flowers, pumpkins, roots, and other material commonly thrown away while maintaining yards and gardens.
Yard waste must be placed in Kraft yard waste bags or in a 32-gallon container with handles that is marked Yard Waste Only.
In wet weather, containers are preferred over Kraft paper yard waste bags to help Sanitation Staff maintain collection efficiency.
Brush and small branches can be tied and bundled and set out as yard waste. Bundles must be no more than 40 pounds in weight; no longer than 4 feet in length; and bundles must be no more than 18 inches around.
Loose Brush are branches and trimmings too large to tie and bundle for set out as yard waste.

Loose brush is chipped at curbside for a fee and only by appointment.
Brush piles must be no larger than 4 feet wide, 8 feet long, and 4 feet high.

April and November
An appointment is not necessary during the months of April and November and there is no charge for this service.
City crews will collect brush beginning from the south end of the city limit and work north. East side residents should set brush out by the 1st of each month and West side residents by the 15th of each month.
